Installation & Setup

Follow these three steps to get MLT Pro working in your browser and start automating your Facebook Marketplace listings.

🎬 Video Walkthrough — See It In Action
1

Install the Chrome Extension

MLT Pro runs directly in your browser as a Chrome extension. Head to the Chrome Web Store to add it:

  • Open the Chrome Web Store and search for MLT Pro
  • Click Add to Chrome and confirm the permission prompt
  • Once installed, the MLT Pro icon will appear in your Chrome toolbar
  • Pin it for easy access by clicking the puzzle-piece icon → pin MLT Pro
2

Configure the Extension

Open the MLT Pro extension panel and enter the credentials from your onboarding email. Then customize your default settings:

  • Enter the username and password sent to you when you signed up
  • Set a default emoji prefix for your listing titles
  • Select the vehicle categories you typically post
  • Paste in your reusable AI description template (see the AI Templates tab)
💡

Pro tip: The more tailored your default template, the more consistent — and professional — your listings will look. Spend 5 minutes here to save hours later.

3

Post Your First Listing

Navigate to a vehicle's detail page on any supported inventory platform, then let MLT Pro do the rest:

  • Supported sources: Autotrader, Cars.com, CarGurus, CarsForSale.com
  • The fastest way: search Google for "Your Dealership Name Autotrader" and open the inventory page
  • Click the MLT Pro button next to the vehicle you want to list
  • You'll be redirected to Facebook Marketplace — watch the tool fill in all the details automatically
  • Review the listing, make any tweaks, then hit Publish
⚠️

Best practice: To stay within Facebook's posting guidelines, we recommend a maximum of 10 vehicles per day, per account. Spread your posts throughout the day rather than batching them all at once.

AI Templates

Use these tools to craft compelling, SEO-friendly Facebook Marketplace descriptions in seconds — with your dealership's branding baked in.

📱 Phone Number → Emoji Converter

Facebook sometimes filters out plain phone numbers. Convert yours to emoji digits so it always gets through. Copy the output and paste it into your AI template below.

FB Marketplace AI Description Template

Standard template for all vehicle listings
[Year] [Make] [Model] [Trim Level] 🔥 • [Engine size & cylinders] • [Leather / Cloth interior] • [Heated seats / Ventilated seats] • [Sunroof / Moonroof / Other features] ✅ Dealer reconditioned ✅ Free state inspection & complimentary car wash for life 💰 Flexible financing options available Ask for [Salesperson Name]!!! 📞 Call (___) ___-____ to book your test drive today!!! [Dealership Name] 📍 [Full Address] *Price excludes the $689 documentation fee. --- Using the template above, write an SEO-friendly Facebook Marketplace listing. Replace all bracketed fields with the actual vehicle data. For the phone number, use the emoji-format version from the converter above, matching the same (###) ###-#### layout.

How to Use This Template

1

Click Copy above to copy the full template to your clipboard.

2

Open the MLT Pro Chrome extension and paste the template into the AI description field.

3

The AI will automatically substitute the bracketed placeholders with actual vehicle data scraped from your inventory page.

4

Review the generated description, make any final edits, and publish your listing.

ℹ️

The AI preserves your dealership's contact info, address, and branding while filling in the vehicle-specific details. You only need to set this up once per account.

Common Issues

Run into a problem? Find fast fixes for the most frequently reported issues below.

If clicking the button does nothing, try these steps in order:

  1. Refresh the inventory page and wait for it to fully load before clicking
  2. Ensure you are logged into Facebook in the same Chrome browser window
  3. Disable any browser ad-blockers or privacy extensions that may be interfering
  4. Open Chrome DevTools (F12 → Console) and check for any red error messages — share them with support if present
  5. Reinstall the MLT Pro extension from the Chrome Web Store

The MLT Pro button only appears on supported inventory pages. Check the following:

  1. Confirm you are on a vehicle detail or inventory listing page from Autotrader, Cars.com, CarGurus, or CarsForSale.com
  2. Make sure the extension is enabled — click the puzzle icon in Chrome and toggle MLT Pro on
  3. Hard-refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R / Cmd+Shift+R) to clear cached scripts
  4. If the button is still missing after the above, contact support with the URL you're having trouble with

Visibility on Facebook Marketplace depends on several factors outside the extension itself. To improve performance:

  1. Post listings gradually throughout the day — avoid uploading everything at once
  2. Use the AI template to write keyword-rich descriptions; include year, make, model, trim, and key features
  3. Ensure photos are high-resolution and well-lit; listings with 10+ images consistently outperform those with fewer
  4. Price competitively — check comparable local listings before publishing
  5. Renew listings every few days to keep them appearing near the top of search results

Facebook enforces its Marketplace policies automatically. Common causes and fixes:

  1. Too many posts too fast — stick to ≤10 vehicles per day and space them out by at least 20–30 minutes
  2. Duplicate listings — avoid posting the exact same vehicle from multiple accounts simultaneously
  3. Policy-violating content — review Facebook's Commerce Policies; descriptions must not contain prohibited language
  4. If your account is restricted, take a 48-hour break from posting, then resume at a lower daily volume
  5. For persistent restrictions, contact us at listingtools.ca@gmail.com — we may be able to help diagnose the issue

If the tool is pulling incorrect information or leaving fields blank:

  1. Make sure you are on a specific vehicle's detail page, not a general search results page
  2. Wait for the page to finish loading before clicking the MLT Pro button
  3. If data is partially missing, you can edit fields manually in Facebook Marketplace before publishing
  4. Unsupported platforms will not extract correctly — use Autotrader, Cars.com, CarGurus, or CarsForSale.com
  5. If data is consistently wrong on a supported site, the site may have updated its layout — contact support so we can push an update

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about how MLT works — for auto dealers and real estate agents.

General Questions
MLT is a Chrome extension that sits on top of your existing listing sources. Once installed, visit your inventory page — a "Post to Marketplace" button appears on each listing. Click it and MLT automatically extracts all relevant details (photos, title, price, description, specs), uses AI to write an optimized buyer-facing description, fills out the entire Facebook Marketplace form, and submits it. The whole process takes under 30 seconds with zero copy-paste and zero manual input.
For Auto Dealers: AutoTrader, CarGurus, and Cars.com. MLT's built-in scraper reads your existing public inventory from these sites directly — no inventory feed, no API approval, and no IT involvement required.

For Real Estate Agents: Realtor.com and Airbnb. MLT pulls property details, photos, and pricing directly from your active listings. All data is then formatted and submitted to Facebook Marketplace automatically.
Posting a single listing manually takes 5–10 minutes — uploading photos, writing descriptions, entering specs, and submitting. MLT reduces this to under 30 seconds per listing.

A car dealer posting 50 vehicles per week saves 4–8 hours every week. A real estate agent posting 20 properties per month saves several hours that can be redirected to client relationships and closings. Over a year, this adds up to weeks of reclaimed time.
Automotive: Cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, boats, RVs, trailers, powersports, and commercial/fleet vehicles.

Real Estate: Single-family homes, condos, townhouses, rental units, commercial properties, and land.

If it has photos and a price on a supported source site, MLT can generate and submit the listing to Facebook Marketplace in seconds.
No setup required beyond installing the Chrome extension. There is no API connection, no DMS integration, no data export, and no IT department approval needed. MLT reads your publicly available listing pages directly. If your inventory is live on AutoTrader, CarGurus, Cars.com, Realtor.com, or Airbnb, you can start posting to Facebook Marketplace within minutes of installing the extension.
Technical Questions
Yes. MLT is designed to mimic natural human posting behavior and respects Facebook's recommended daily limits (typically up to 10 listings per day, spaced out). The tool does not violate Facebook's Terms of Service. Hundreds of dealers and agents have used it for months without account restrictions. We recommend distributing your posts throughout the day rather than batch-posting all at once.
AutoPost is an automated scheduling feature that re-publishes your listings on a recurring schedule. Facebook Marketplace listings lose visibility over time as newer posts push them down. AutoPost keeps your inventory at the top of search results without requiring manual re-posting. You set the schedule, and MLT handles the rest — keeping your cars and properties visible to buyers 24 hours a day.
Yes. Dealer and Brokerage plans include multi-user logins, allowing your entire team to post under one account. Each user gets individual credentials, and managers get a dashboard showing who posted what, when, and from which account. This is ideal for large dealership groups, multi-location operations, and brokerages with multiple agents.
